1998-2002 Corolla Owners:Is it a common problem to have the front crankshaft seal leak oil?

My 2001 Toyota Corolla’s front crankshaft seal has been leaking oil,it has 125,000 miles,has always been well maintained.I’m getting oil leakage from the seal,and I know because I see where the drivebelt is flinging oil.It leaks about a quart between oil changes.Anybody else have a problem like this with a Corolla? Was it a lot of work to replace?
